Did you know VA eligibility never expires?

If you have EVER* served in any branch of the U.S. Military, you never lose your VA eligibility to purchase a home.  And you can use it an unlimited number of times.  You can even use it to purchase more than one home, but we’ll cover that in a future post.

For example, let’s say you bought a house with your VA home loan when you were stationed in Texas; three years later you got orders to California and sold your home in Texas.  Now you can buy a home in California using your VA loan (and I will be your Realtor)!! And then you decide to retire from the military and move back to Texas and you sell your California home (with me as your Realtor, of course), and now you can use your VA home loan to purchase your retirement home in Texas.

Cool, huh!

And let’s say you are a Vietnam veteran, and you thought your VA eligibility had expired….WRONG!!  It NEVER goes away!  Even if you have never used it, it will still be there for you when you want to purchase a home!

This is exciting stuff!  You can buy a home with 100% financing (loan limits do apply, but that’s a future post)!

Super cool!!
